I'm sort of petered out with writing reviews lately (though I appreciate the people who read them) so all I am going to say here is 5 star writing by Chip Zdarsky & 5 star art by Jorge Jimenez & Belen Ortega.

This is Batman at it's finest, it's DC's flagship title, and this creative crew is on it for a reason. BUY IT!!!! I can state that with no hesitation.

  DC Pride Tim Drake Special.....2.5 Stars  As there was nothing of interest last week to purchase from DC, I decided to purchase the DC Pride: Tim Drake Special to find out what all the hoopla was about. For those of you who don't know, Tim Drake (the prominent Robin of the 90's) came out as being bisexual of late, which resulted in a massive backlash from Tim Drake fans, not as a result of him having an attraction to the same sex as I understand it, but rather because it didn't align with his historical continuity of liking women.  On this I cannot comment, as I have never had a vested interest in Tim Drake, but I do have a vested interested in John Constantine and it didn't bother me when they made him bisexual, because it didn't greatly impact his continuity (If they had make him gay however, I would have been greatly miffed because it would have nullified his ongoing on and off romance with Zatanna), but.... welcome to the world of DC, whereby loyal customers c...

Tim Drake Robin #1....3 Stars

Tim Drake Robin # 1                                                    No I'm not going to give this 1 star, like a lot of comic fans would like me to do, but I do sympathize with Tim Drake fans. Having one of your favourite heroes continuity changed for the sake of gender politics, and then tossed to a writer who has a non conventional writing style, only to be called a bigot on reddit or comic forums when you protest, is a really shitty thing for DC to do to Tim Drake fans. I was never a Tim Drake fan, by the time the  90's were in full swing I was done with sidekicks, but I always recognized he was an extremely popular character. Not many titles reach 50 issues let alone 183! Which is what the Robin title reached under Tim Drake, so you think that DC would clue in and realize that there was a big market out there for another Tim Drake run, but DC neve...

Sword of Azrael #1 of 6......4 Stars

 Sword of Azrael # 1 It has been a long time coming, but DC's angel of death has returned in a six part mini series, with vigilante Jean Paul Valley once again suiting up to punish sinners by breaking jaws and bones in the Sword of Azrael...or does he, because this story has an interesting and unexpected plot twist to it, in which if I elaborate further, I will most certainly be putting out a spoiler.  Hiding out in a monastery located somewhere off the Aegean Sea, Jean Paul Valley has fled Gotham City in order to make amends with his conscious after implementing a brutally violent regime as Gotham City's number one vigilante, while Bruce Wayne was incapacitated.(A warning to future superheroes not to allow your protege to be a test tube bay from the order of St Dumas with an uncontrollable rage issue ) I am assuming that DC is sticking to the original timeline here, whereby Jean Paul eventually leaves Gotham City to find himself and his origins in Europe, which therefore even...
